InnoPolis participated in the workshop organised by Greenpeace Greece on the 21th of June, from 17:00 to 20:00, on the ship of Greenpeace “Rainbow Warrior”. The ship sailed in the Greek seas from June 12 to 22 in the context of the organisation’s European campaign on the climate crisis and the promotion of clean energy from renewable sources instead of mineral fuel. Rainbow Warrior was anchored in the Port of Corfu for two days.
The agenda of the workshop was built entirely to showcase existing initiatives and bring together different experts and developers to share their experience working in distributed and collaborative energy models led by citizens in Greece. The presenters shared their perspectives and experience about the new legal frameworks on Energy Communities as well as potential opportunities on community solar and self- consumption models. Participants had the opportunity to explore what prospects Energy Communities opening for local energy transition and what existing tools and initiatives exist in Greece for the local communities.
Innopolis presentation had the title: “Passage Project: Climate
Authorities Supporting Low Carbon Growth In European Maritime Border
Regions” and it was focused on the Infopack for establishing an energy community, which has been created in the frame of the Action Plan of Corfu and Otranto straits.
The infopack can be retrieved from the web reference site: https://enercommunities.eu in English and in Greek.
